Terms & Conditions
Last updated July 2026
These terms govern your use of wearesymphony.co, operated by Symphony Collective Limited (“Symphony”, “we”, “us”), a registered charity in England and Wales (Registered Charity Number 1214476, Company Number 16053342), Symphony Studios, Oasis St Martin’s Village, 155 Tulse Hill, London SW2 3UP. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
Using the site
You may use this site for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes. You agree not to misuse it, disrupt it, or try to access it in any way other than through the interface we provide.
In particular, you agree not to:
Use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, or to harass anyone.
Introduce viruses or any other malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any connected system.
Scrape, harvest or systematically extract content or personal data from the site.
Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection to Symphony.
Donations and Gift Aid
Donations are processed securely through our donation platform, GiveTap, and through the mobile networks if you give by text. Those providers have their own terms, which apply to the payment itself.
Where you are eligible and choose to add Gift Aid, we will claim it in line with HMRC rules. It is your responsibility to tell us if you stop being eligible.
Donations are gifts and are not generally refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact hello@wearesymphony.co as soon as possible and we will do our best to help, subject to the platform’s rules and HMRC’s.
Where a donation is made towards a specific appeal and we raise more than that appeal needs, we will apply the surplus to our other charitable work in line with charity law.
Newsletter and emails
Our newsletter uses double opt-in: you will only be added once you click the confirmation link we email you. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it.
We may still send you service messages that are not marketing, for example a confirmation that we received your form.
Programmes, events and applications
Details of programmes and events are provided for information and may change. Places are limited and may be subject to eligibility criteria, an application process, age limits and safeguarding checks.
Submitting a form registers your interest. It does not guarantee a place, and we are not obliged to explain a decision beyond what the law requires.
Where a programme involves a young person, we may need consent from a parent or guardian before they can take part.
Shop and third-party services
Our shop, ticketing and any booking tools are run by third parties on their own platforms, under their own terms of sale and their own refund, delivery and privacy policies. Please read those at the point of purchase.
The site also links to third-party services such as our donation platform and our social media profiles. We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of those third parties, and a link is not an endorsement.
Content you send us
If you send us content through this site, for example in a message or an application, you confirm that it is yours to send and that it is not unlawful, defamatory or offensive.
You keep ownership of what you send. You give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it for. If we ever want to use your words or image publicly, for example in a story about our work, we will ask you first.
Intellectual property
The content, branding, design and materials on this site belong to Symphony or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not reproduce or reuse them without permission, except for your own personal, non-commercial reference.
Photographs of the people we work with are used with their permission and may not be copied or reused.
Availability and accuracy
We work to keep the site available and its content accurate and up to date, but we do not promise either. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time, without notice.
Nothing on this site is legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and it should not be relied on as such.
Disclaimer and liability
The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or your inability to use it.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and the version in force is the one published when you use the site.
If part of these terms cannot be enforced
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, that does not mean we have given it up.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts. For any question, contact hello@wearesymphony.co.
