Cookie Policy

Last updated July 2026

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We keep them to a minimum: a small amount of storage needed to run the site, and, only if you allow it, cookies set by a marketing partner.

Our visitor statistics use no cookies at all, so there is nothing to consent to there. Details below.

When you first visit, we ask for your choice. You can change it any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Strictly necessary

These are needed for the site to work, for example remembering your cookie choice and keeping the site secure. They are always on and do not require consent.

In practice the only thing this site puts on your device itself is your cookie choice, saved in your browser’s local storage under the name “symphony-cookie-consent”. Clearing your browser storage deletes it, and we will ask you again on your next visit.

Analytics, with no cookies used

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how the site is doing overall: which pages people visit and where they arrived from. It is cookieless. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not follow you to other websites or build a profile of you.

Visitors are counted using a temporary hash of the request, which is discarded after 24 hours. What we are left with is aggregated statistics that cannot be traced back to you.

Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, this does not require your consent and it is not part of the cookie choices above. We run it on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, and you can object at any time by emailing us.

Marketing

With your consent, these let us measure and tailor our campaigns, and may be set by advertising partners such as social media pixels. They are off unless you opt in, and no marketing tag loads until you do.

Maps and embedded content

Our contact page embeds a map from Google Maps so you can find Symphony Studios. The map loads with the page rather than waiting for your cookie choice, because showing you where we are is part of what that page is for.

When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies on your device. This sits outside the categories above, so the toggles in our cookie settings do not turn it off. If you would rather it did not load, you can block third-party cookies in your browser: the address and the directions link on the contact page work perfectly well without it. Google explains what it collects in the Google Privacy Policy.

Other sites we link to

Some links take you to services run by other people: our donation platform, our shop, and our social media profiles. Once you are on their site, their own cookies and privacy policies apply, not ours.

Managing your choice

You can accept all, reject all, or set preferences by category at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended. Your browser’s help pages explain how, and ico.org.uk has plain-English guidance on cookies generally.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy if what we use changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For any question about cookies, email hello@wearesymphony.co.
